Job Description:
The candidate will join a growing small private practice and provide individual/couples counseling to clients with a wide range of mental health needs and cultural backgrounds. The candidate will start with a small caseload and gradually build their workload with internal referrals and personalized marketing. Candidates have the freedom to choose different therapeutic approaches and work in a supportive environment.
This is a great opportunity for therapists who are interested in working independently in a supportive group setting, and therapists who wish to learn how to start and build a private practice.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in mental health counseling or a related field
Fully licensed or MHC-LP in NYS
LGBTQ affirming and social justice informed
Flexibility to work at least one weeknight or one day on the weekend
At least one-year clinical experience
Preferred skills:
Fluent in Mandarin
Familiar with Gestalt therapy or other process-oriented therapy approaches
Expertise in a specific mental health area (eating disorder, OCD, etc.)
